Place Stanislas
1755: Wine flowed from the fountains when Stanislas inaugurated one of the most beautiful squares in the world, making Nancy the City of Golden Gates.
This place alone is reason enough to make the trip and was voted France’s Favourite Monument in 2021. It is part of an exceptional 18th-century ensemble, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1983, comprising three squares — Place de la Carrière and Place d’Alliance — along with the Arc de Triomphe.
